Whole Baked Chicken

The Hajka Outdoor Oven can bake a chicken up to 1000 grams. Cover the chicken with a rub made of thyme, garlic, honey, salt and black pepper. Cook for 45 minutes, starting with medium heat and reducing to low heat after 15 minutes. The chicken should be baked all the way into the bone.

- Preheating is not needed.

- Gas consumption is approximately 45 grams for 1000 grams of chicken.

Ingredients

  • 1000 grams of fresh or thawed chicken
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 3 crushed cloves of garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 3 tablespoons of Japanese soy
  • Parsley

Directions

  1. Thaw chicken if frozen overnight in fridge.
  2. Mix all ingrediens for the rub.
  3. Place chicken i the baking tin.
  4. Cover the whole chicken with the rub.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes on medium heat.
  6. Lower to low heat and bake for another 30-40 minutes until the chicken is cooked all the way in to the bone.
  7. Serve with parsley.
