Marble Cake (video)
A more luxurious and tastier version of a regular sponge cake, and just as easy! You can also use a ready-made mix; in that case, do the same at the end with the cocoa.

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 200 ml caster sugar
- 75 g butter
- 100 ml milk
- 300 ml plain flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar (optional)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
Directions
- Melt the butter (or use liquid butter/oil from a bottle).
- Whisk together the eggs and sugar, then mix in the melted butter.
- Mix the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl and stir into the batter. Whisk.
- Grease the baking tin and pour in two thirds of the batter.
- Now mix the cocoa into the final third and pour it over the light batter. Swirl it around to create a pattern.
- Preheat your oven on medium power for 5 minutes.
- Place the tin on the oven rack and bake for 30 minutes on low power (a small flame).
