You can prepare both ready-made gratins and from raw potatoes. You can also choose to make lasagne using fresh or dry pasta. In both cases, it’s a good idea to heat the food directly on the heat shield for faster cooking.
Then, place the tin on the oven rack with the stainless plate, or directly on the baking steel. The baking steel provides more bottom and top heat.

THE EASY WAY: Ready potato gratin or lasagna from fresh pasta
Directions
Warm up the gratin/lasagne on the heat shield for 5-10 minutes on medium heat.
Add grated cheese and place the tin either on the oven rack or on the baking steel.
Use medium heat and cook for approximately 35 minutes for ready-made gratin/lasagne with fresh pasta and 60 minutes for homemade gratin/lasagna.
