Who created the Hajka Pizza Oven?
Eric Tornblad, a cookbook author focused on outdoor cooking, has published eight books and hosts events and workshops on outdoor cooking in Stockholm, Sweden.
What is unique about the outdoor oven?
It’s portability, even baking and quick heating time. It is also very energy efficient.
How does the oven work?
HAJKA has a very even heat distribution. Warm air also circulates upwards along the sides, providing top heat.
- The flame enters the hole in the bottom of the oven.
- The steel plates reduce the bottom heat.
- Warm air moves upwards and creates top heat.
- Moisture from food escapes on the side.

Problems solved compared with existing stove top / camping ovens:
- No hole in the middle
- Reduced pack-size
- A perfect fit for Trangia and other outdoor stoves
- More even bottom heating
- The possibility of making a pizza with a crusty bottom
- Ability to use the baking pan for frying
- A knop on the lid that doesn’t get hot
What stoves can Hajka be used with?
The HAJKA oven is compatible with permanently mounted gas stoves used in vans, RVs, and boats, as well as free-standing camping gas stoves. Can be used with fuels as gas, alcohol and even on an ember (fire). Additionally, the bottom of the oven features a groove that fits perfectly with Trangia (both large and small models).


Not for Top-Mounted Stoves
DO NOT PLACE THE OVEN ON A TOP-MOUNTED STOVE – there is a significant risk that the oven will tip over, and the gas cylinder can also overheat due to the heat reflection from the oven.

What effect should I use?
DO NOT USE HIGH POWER ON YOUR STOVE. The oven works best with low or medium heat, and using high power will burn the food. You could also damage the oven: the heat shield will become warped, all the aluminium in the oven will soften, and the silicone knob will melt.

Weight?
The base weight is just above 1000 grams; the total weight with the baking tin and pizza steel is approximately 1600 grams.
What size is Hajka?
The oven measures 6×23 cm when packed (2.5×9 inches).
Where is Hajka manufactured?
Designed in Sweden and manufactured in Sweden/Europe.
Can it do anything besides making pizza?
The Hajka Pizza Oven can do everything a regular oven can, as it features both top and bottom heat. You can bake a sponge cake, roast meat, bake fish or make a potato gratin.

HAJKA is compact when packed, making it easy to take along in your backpack, RV, or kayak.
Packed size: 6 cm high, 23 cm in diameter.
Assembled size: 12×23 cm.

What is included?

Parts: Lid, bottom part, heat deflector, stainless heat shield, oven grate, baking tin with ceramic non-stick coating (made without PFAS), pizza steel (1 mm carbon steel), storage bag, printed manual, and a tool for assembly of heat deflector and handle.
Weight: The base weight is approximately 1050 grams, and the total weight, including the baking tin (160 grams) and pizza steel 280 grams), is approximately 1600 grams.
