Unboxing

This guide will help you "unbox" your new Hajka.

The most important thing is to clamp the handle so it does not damage the baking tin - the information in the folder is not correct - it is NOT pre-clamped, as it was better to pack it this way.

UNBOXING VIDEO

Here is a 12-minute video on how to clean parts, assemble and use the Hajka.

Email me at shop@hajkaoven.com if you have ANY questions.

__________

1. Clamp the handle to widen the opening

The handle is made for a thinner pot, the Hajka baking tin is 1,5 millimetres thick and thicker than most other camping pots. When widening the handle the coated baking tin will not crack or be bent as easily.

  1. Place the "mouth" of the handle over the pizza steel.
  2. Clamp as hard as you can!
  3. Test on the baking tin, it should not be too tight.

2. Assembly of the heat deflector

Use the tool to mount the screws; it is a self-locking bolt, and the "triangle" should face upward.

3. Bend the flaps on the heat shield

Bend them 90 degrees - you can not make it wrong, both sides are the same.

4. Oven grate - bend the flaps

Bend the flaps 45 degrees upwards; this will position/centre the baking tin.

The oven grate is placed on the stainless heat shield.

5. Clean all the parts

Parts have traces of oil from manufacturing and should be cleaned
before first use.

Bottom part, heat shield, oven rack (stainless parts)
Wash in a dishwasher or by hand with dish soap.

Baking tin (white coating) and aluminium lid
Wash by hand with dish soap.

Baking/pizza steel (carbon steel)
Wipe with a damp cloth and add a very thin layer of cooking oil (not olive
oil or other cold pressed).

Heat deflector (with three arms)
Wipe off the heat deflector with paper. Place on the bottom part and heat
on a stove for 5 minutes without the lid (this to get rid of excess oil from
the production).

__________

Pizza/baking Steel

Attach the pizza steel in the square holes on the hooks.

Place the heat reflector under the pizza steel to prevent the bottom of your pizza from getting burned.

The Baking Tin

Place the baking tin on the oven grate, also use the heat deflector:

  • Baking tin
  • Oven grate
  • Heat reflector
  • Deflector with hooks
  • Bottom part

The heat distributor

Ben with a pair of pliars or a vise.

That was all the information on how to unbox your Hajka
